Students will work in the studio and learn how to develop paintings with a strong composition and range of tonal values. There will be an emphasis on learning to see the abstract patterns that underpin a good composition and time will be spent learning how to mix paint well so that it flows across the paper to create vibrant, fresh finished pieces of art.

Ekaterina is an international, award winning artist currently living in Rome. She's studied architecture before beginning her art career. She's very popular on many online art platforms. She's famous for her loose, transparent watercolor florals, as well as her still-life paintings and landscapes. We're very excited that she'll be joining us here in New York for her first time in our country.
Ekaterina will be teaching on our large screen TV with the help of her husband, Igor. Essentially, we'll have 2 teachers for her class. She'll be able to see your work and give critiques. She'll be teaching during our regular workshop hours. With Igor's help, this is a wonderful opportunity!
